Easter

Like each holiday, it gets so much more fun as the kids get older. This year we were lucky enough to have Grandma and Grandpa Kowalski join us for Easter. We started off the holiday weekend dying eggs. Present in the bunch: A Cooper egg, a Daphne egg, a Prize Egg, a Mike (from Monster's Inc.) egg (with hair), an optimus prime egg (with glitter).
The Easter bunny was very generous. Both with presents...
And with hiding some eggs for the younger/shorter crew.
But kept things interesting, as usual.
The kids were pumped by their new toys.

And loved hunting the eggs (Cooper not pictured because I couldn't keep up with him).

It took LOTS of bribery to get her in this dress.
He, on the other hand, hated when he had to take off his suit.

2014 so far...

There isn't a lot to say about 2014 so far.... Or rather there is, but all the positives seem bookended by negatives.

For example, I cleaned my office in anticipation of a weeklong beach vacation:
Only to cancel it when the kids (who got the flu shot) both came down with the flu.

Sure, we have done fun stuff.  Went to the zoo
Pet some animals
Rode the merry go round
Got our first choice of animals, even.
But then we had to leave and it was sad...
And that is where we have been.  High highs followed by miserable lows.
We actually braved the houston rodeo.
So much fun

A total party

But oh holy mother if only I had a picture of me after carrying Daphne all the way back to the car.  Miserable.

So between the strep throat, two ear infections, two flus, endless colds and constant nausea, we are managing some fun... I just get slammed by the misery bookend before I can write about it.
