Anyway, March had been busy, including... SPRING BREAK!!!
This year was our first road trip to Florida. On our way there (and with our favorite beach buddy, Great Aunt Krishia) we stopped for the night in New Orleans.
While there, the kids tried alligator.
All food was greatly enjoyed. New Orleans knows good food.
Beignets for days.
And a few short hours later we made it to Perdido Key - our final destination.

Me and my beach babe! Daph was fearless this trip. Cooper has always been a child of the sea. He loves the sand the water the waves the everything. Daph was more of a pool girl. But this trip she really embraced the beach. While she still enjoys the chilling out at the pool she built great sand castles and charged the waves with a gusto that she didn't have our last beach trip. Girlfriend's getting big.
The water was a bit chilly but we either dive in and acclimated or warmed in the sand by the water.
We dug some serious holes.
So. Much. Fun.
I have always loved the beach and I am so glad we leave near enough to a coast that we can show the kids the ocean. It's truly an experience.
And, to prove I still got it (or the exact opposite) behold my tan(sunburn) lines from our last day on the beach (started overcast then got SUNNY). Yep. That's right. My tan lines now include the ever sexy water shoe line.
That plus pregnant... Sigh. This too shall pass.
And then there was Easter!

And the bunny did his part leaving baskets for the kids filled with goodies. It was a delightful and restful weekend.
At least for those that aren't huge and waking up every hour.
As per above... This too shall pass.
